The Zavodskyi district was established in 1969 by separating from the Ordzhonikidzevskyi district (now it’s the Voznesenivskyi district). The district covers the industrial zone of Zaporizhzhia, where the key metallurgical enterprises of the city are situated.
The area of the Zavodskyi district is 56 sq. km, which has 155 streets and more than 6.8 thousand buildings.
The majority of large industrial enterprises of the city, in particular, PJSC Zaporizhstal ZMK, PJSC Zaporizhkoks, PJSC Dniprospetsstal Electrometallic Plant, PJSC Zaporizhzhia Ferroalloy Plant, PJSC Zaporizhvohnetryv, Zaporozhzhia Titanium Magnesium Plant LLC, etc.
There are two monuments of architecture on the territory of the district — the building of the plant management of PJSC Zaporizhstal ZMK and PJSC Dniprospetsstal Electrometallic Plant.
